Body found south of Fort Dodge is identified as missing 22 year old

July 12, 2013 By O. Kay Henderson

Authorities have identified the remains of a man found in a roadside ditch, about five miles south of Fort Dodge, late Wednesday afternoon.

The Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the victim is 22-year-old Steven Richard Fisher. Fisher’s death has been categorized as a homicide.

Last Tuesday, Fisher’s employer reported to law enforcement that Fisher was missing. Late Wednesday afternoon, Webster County authorities received a call regarding the possible human remains found in a roadside ditch west of Otho. Webster County Sheriff’s deputies responded and found the body near the intersection of two roads. ANNOUNCER OUT:

Authorities have not released information about where Fisher was employed or where he was from.
