Two charged with murder in death of Fort Dodge man

July 15, 2013 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Two Fort Dodge residents are now jailed in connection with the death of 22-year-old Steven Fisher of Fort Dodge last week. Twenty-nine-year-old Ronald J. Dilley and 22-year-old Holly Ekstrom are facing a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Fisher, whose body was discovered in a ditch west of Otho last Wednesday afternoon.

Bond for both Dilley and Ekstrom is set at $500,000. The two are being held in the Webster County Jail. On Friday, a vehicle owned by Fisher was discovered by authorities in the 1300 block of Second Avenue South in Fort Dodge.

Last Wednesday, a farmer discovered the body of Fisher while mowing a ditch on a county road near Otho. A preliminary hearing for both Dilley and Ekstrom is set for this Friday in Webster County Magistrate Court.
