A Sioux City man pled guilty today to conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. Fifty-three-year-old Robert Skarin admitted to distributing over 50 grams of pure meth in the Sioux City area.

Skarin also admitted that he traveled to Omaha, Nebraska at least two times with another person to pick up the meth and bring it back to Iowa. He was charged after a traffic stop in April in which he was driving with another person.

Officers searched Skarin and found he had a brown paper bag hidden in his sock that contained 80 grams of pure meth. A sentencing date for Skarin has not yet been set. He faces a minimum sentence for the crime of 10-years in prison, with the maximum sentence of life in prison.
