Two people were killed, three injured, in a one-car accident early Saturday near Livermore in Humboldt County. The Iowa State Patrol identified the victims as 18-year-old Cody Schachtner and 19-year-old Joshua Naeve, both of Humboldt.

The injured included the driver of the car, 18-year-old Cody Weisbrich along with 19-year-old Landon Nokleby and 19-year-old Tyler Zaugg all of Humboldt. Nokleby was transported to Humboldt County Hospital and then airlifted to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines for further treatment.

Both Weisbrich and Zaugg were treated at the Humboldt hospital and later released. Reportedly the northbound 2003 Chevrolet Impala driven by Weisbrich was traveling on Rose Avenue when he lost control of the car. The car then rolled over onto the roadway and then slid to a stop on its roof.

The accident remains under investigation.
