The names of two Blue Grass residents who were killed in a weekend motorcycle crash in Davenport have been released. It happened Saturday on U.S. 61 in southwest Davenport during a rainstorm. The motorcycle collided with the back of a van that was slowing for a left turn.

Thirty-eight-year-old William Rowley, who was driving the cycle, died during surgery. A passenger, his wife, 48-year-old Deborah Rowley, died at the scene. Police say neither victim was wearing a helmet. William Rowley was an active duty military member, stationed at the Rock Island Arsenal. The driver of the van was not hurt.
