The Drake Bulldogs will try to earn their first Pioneer Football League victory of the season when they host Jacksonville University on Saturday. Drake opened the PFL race by committing seven turnovers in a 31-17 loss at Mercer and coach Chris Creighton says they need to put that game behind them.

He say it’s a huge league game and the two programs have been playing for the championship the last four years and this year is no different.

The Dolphins have feature high scoring offenses over the years and Creighton says this team is no different. “Their offenses have always been potent, no question,” Creighton says. He says they threw the ball for 500 yards last week.

Drake is 1-3 overall.
