Schaller woman dies in skid loader accident

October 10, 2013 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A Schaller woman has died after being  trapped under a skid loader. The Sac County Sheriff’s officer was called to 1931 Buchanan Avenue in Schaller just before 8:30 Wednesday night.

Upon arrival, 53-year-old Karen Jeanne Terry was found pinned between the skid loader and the boom arm.  Terry was pronounced dead at the scene.

Terry was home alone at the time of the accident.  Her friends had tried to make contact with her throughout the late afternoon and early evening hours.  A family friend went to the residence, found Terry trapped under the skid loader, and called 911. The investigation is still ongoing.
