Bondurant woman dies in house fire

October 15, 2013 By Dar Danielson

A Bondurant woman died in a fire Monday morning. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says 56-year-old Jaqueline Lorraine Polite was found dead inside her home on the southeast side of Bondurant. Firefighters reported they could not immediately get inside the house as the smoke and fire was too dense when they arrived. They called in help from the Altoona, Ankeny and Mitchelville fire departments.

The medical examiner ruled  Polite died from smoke inhalation. The preliminary investigation indicates the fire was caused by an electrical problem.
