Authorities say charges are not expected to be filed after a Swaledale boy was hit and killed by a grain truck on Friday night. The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department says they were called shortly before 6:45 PM to the 500 block of Main Street in Swaledale after 7-year-old Devlin Obregon was struck by the grain truck.

Obregon was transported by Mercy Air Life to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City where he was later pronounced dead. The grain truck was driven by 37-year-old Robert Quinlan of Rockwell. Authorities at last report say their investigation is ongoing at this time.
