Shots reportedly fired in chase near Iowa State University campus

Iowa State University police say shots were fired near the campus in Ames this morning during a chase involving Ames police. The suspect is in custody and police say no one was injured.

Students and staff were notified shortly before 11 a.m. The e-mail alert asks people to avoid an area of the central campus that remains cordoned off.
