Two familiar foes will clash tonight in a class 2A Quarterfinal as 2nd ranked New Hampton will host number five Waukon for the second time this season. In the first meeting, it was New Hampton upsetting, then Number 1 Waukon 19-14.

Head New Hampton Football Coach Scott Frerichs says that although his team is very familiar with the Waukon, the Indians are still very hard to defend. He says they pull out all the stops and use several trick plays with wide open formations that try to isolate their start players.

Football playoffs are definitely an exciting time, but the schedule does take its toll on the players according to Coach Frerichs. He says it will be their fourth game in 15 days and it is nice to play someone they are familiar with.
