The Iowa State Cyclones host TCU in their annual homecoming contest. The Cyclones have dropped three straight lopsided contests and coach Paul Rhoads has been working this week to build confidence. Rhoads says the job is to temper things down when you are winning, and when you lose things are the other way and you have to pick the players up.

Rhoads says a good start is what the Cyclones need. “It’s easy to play good football when you are confident,” Rhoads says. He says you are challenged when you are not as confident. Injured TCU quarterback Casey Pachall has returned to the lineup and sophomore Trevone Boykin has moved to receiver. Rhoads says Pachall is a more accurate thrower who has won a lot of games.

Iowa State is 1-7. TCU is 3-6.
