Police in Des Moines have identified the victim of the capital city’s latest homicide. Police say 21-year-old Leroy Gordon III was shot to death around 6:30 p.m. Thursday in a neighborhood located a few blocks east of the Drake University campus. Investigators have been interviewing several witnesses, but have not made any arrests. This is the 11th homicide in Des Moines this year.
