After snapping a five game losing skid the UNI Panthers will try to make it two in a row this weekend when they visit Missouri State. The Bears are riding a four game winning streak.

“Their defense is really good they’re very sound on defense,” UNI coach Mark Farley says. He says they have better personnel now on defense and a mid-season change at quarterback has ignited the Missouri State offense. He says they are putting up a lot more points in the last 5 games compared to the first 4.

Former UNI coach Terry Allen looked like he was in trouble when Missouri State opened 1-6 but the Bears could finish second in the Missouri Valley race with a win. Allen says after losing close games they got some wins and that brought their confidence level up and they were able to keep winning.
