Former Davenport man sentenced to prison for robbing credit union

A former Davenport man will spend over 12 years in prison for robbing a credit union. Forty-eight-year-old Elbert Karr pled guilty to going into the Family Credit Union in Davenport on October 22nd of 2012 and handing the teller a note demanding money.

He was later stopped after a chase by police while driving a stolen semi tractor. Karr was sentenced to 151 months in prison and ordered to pay $2,900 in restitution.
