In the class 2A championship game fifth ranked Waukon will go up against top rated Carroll Kuemper. Waukon coach Chad Beerman feels his team will be better prepared after playing in the UNI-Dome last week, as he says playing there is different from anything they have experienced in the past, and he hopes having played there will allow them to be more focused.

Beerman says there are a lot of distractions getting ready for a title game with pictures, pep rallied and all the things that go with. “They are high school aged boys and sometimes it tough to keep them focused under the best of circumstances, so we just try to balance it all out,” Beerman says.

Beerman says Kuemper will be a tough matchup as he says they have a top defense and a good offense.
