The Iowa State women took control late in the opening half and roared away to an 89-47 win over Drake on Sunday in the Knapp Center.

Hallie Christopherson poured in 25 points as the Cyclones handed coach Bill Fennelly his 400th win at ISU. “I’ve been very blessed to work at a place like Iowa State that has allowed me to stay that long,” Fennelly says. He says it’s a nice milestone, but they didn’t talk about it with the team.

Leading 26-22 the Cyclones outscored the Bulldogs 14-0 to close the first half. Fennelly says that was the biggest part of the game as he says they were making shots and guarding well.  Freshman Seanna Johson had 14 points and 11 rebounds as the Cyclones improve to 4-0. Drake falls to 2-3.
