The Iowa Hawkeye women overcame a cold shooting game to post a 67-60 win at UNI. The Hawks connected on only 33 percent from the field, including three of 18 from three point range, and made only 24 of 38 free throws.

Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says UNI has had trouble with their shooting and they had some of the same trouble in this game. UNI center Jen Keitel was limited to five points and no rebounds before fouling out with three minutes to go. “Jen is a very good center, she’s strong, she shoots the ball well…getting her out of the game was very important and I thought we did a good job of that,” Bluder says.

Samantha Logic had 17 points and ten rebounds to lead the Hawkeyes who improve to 5-1 on the season. Amber Sorensen had 15 to lead the Panthers as they fall to 2-3.
