Iowa State used a 27-0 run in the opening half to blow the game open as they cruised to a 110-51 victory over Missouri-Kansas City in Ames.

The Cyclones showed early there would be no letdown after victories over Michigan and BYU. “After the last couple of emotional wins you always worry about that, a little bit of a letdown coming out,” coach Fred Hoiberg said. He says they came out ready from the start and played a solid 40 minutes of basketball.

DeAndre Kane led the Cyclones with 20 points and eight rebounds as the Cyclones improved to 5-0. Hoiberg said they played unselfishly and did what they had to do.

Eleven different Cyclones scored in the game. “It’s good to get those guys in the game,” Hoiberg said.
