The mother of one of the two children who were abducted from Evansdale in the summer of 2012 has been arrested on drug charges. Thirty-six-year-old Misty Morrissey, formerly of Waterloo, was arrested by sheriff’s officials in Fayette County Monday afternoon.Authorities say a week-long investigation involving alleged illegal activity at a West Union home that Morrissey shares with 25-year-old Todd Henriksen – also formerly of Waterloo — uncovered a drug operation that included the possession and sale of both methamphetamine and marijuana over the last few months. During a search of the home, deputies recovered a large amount of cash, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Each are facing multiple drug-related charges that could put Morrissey behind bars for up to 50 years and Henriksen for 15, if both are convicted. Morrissey is the mother of 10-year-old Lyric Cook-Morrissey,
