INS boys and girls players of the week (audio)

Class 4A: Daniel Tillo, Sioux City North
The junior averaged 26 points and more than 13 rebounds in three wins. Tillo scored 22 points, hauled down 18 rebounds and hit the game winning shot in an overtime in a victory against  Sergeant Bluff-Luton. He connected on 46 percent of his three point shots in the three games.

Class 3A: Davis Dieken, Clear Lake
The senior averaged 24 and a half points and more than 12 rebounds in a pair of wins. Dieken scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a win over Iowa Falls-Alden. He connected on 64 percent of his shots in the two games.

Class 2A: Carson Parker, Dike-New Hartford
The senior averaged just over 33 points and seven rebounds in two games. Parker scored 34 points including 11 of 17 from the field, added seven rebounds, five assists and four steals in a victory over Waterloo Columbus.

Class 1A: Chris Ford, Highland (Riverside)
The senior averaged more than 20 points in three games. Ford scored 35 points, including 13 of 16 from the field and nine of 10 from the line, added five rebounds and five assists in a win over Columbus Junction.

Class 5A: Emily Clemens, Muscatine
The senior scored 18 points, added six rebounds, five assists and six steals in a victory over Clinton. Clemens connected oin seven of 14 from the field.

Class 4A: Claire Marburger, Perry
The junior averaged 24 points and nine rebounds in two victories. Marburger scored 23 points, hauled down 10 rebounds and blocked three shots in a win over Carlisle. She connected on 57 percent of her shots in the two games.

Class 3A: Andrea Larson, Mediapolis
The junior averaged 20 points and nine rebounds in two wins. Larson poured in 30 points, hauled down 16 rebounds, registered three steals and blocked two shots in a win over Louisa-Muscatine. She connected on 13 of 19 shots from the field.

Class 2A: Lauren Hedlund, Hinton
The senior averaged 24 points and eight rebounds in three wins. Hedlund scored 27 points, including 11 of 16 from the field and hauled down 11 rebounds in a victory over Woodbury Central.

Class 1A: Jasmine Demers, Storm Lake St. Mary’s
The senior averaged 27 and a half points and 13 rebounds in two games. Demers scored 40 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a loss to Newell-Fonda. She made three of four from three point range and 13 of 16 from the free throw line.
