An Iowa City woman is accused of stealing tens-of-thousands of dollars from her employer. Iowa City Police arrested 44-year-old Julie Taylor on one count of first-degree theft. She’s accused of taking checks that customers of Hawkeye Waste Systems had written to the company, endorsing them with her name and depositing the checks into her personal bank account.
Police claim Taylor deposited 126 checks, totaling more than $58,000, over a 14-month period.
