Iowa Network Services girls high school basketball players of the week 1/8/14

Class 5A: Sydney Dwyer, Pleasant Valley
The senior averaged 21 points, three rebounds and three assists in a pair of wins. Dwyer scored 26 points, added three rebounds, three assists and three steals in a victory over Burlington.

Class 4A: Megan Todd, Sioux City Heelan
The junior averaged 18 and a half points in two victories. Todd scored 21 points, including 10 of 16 from the field, added three rebounds, five assists and four steals in a win over Sioux City North.

Class 3A: Alexis Conaway, MOC-Floyd Valley
The senior scored 27 points, hauled down 12 rebounds and blocked eight shots in a win over Okoboji. Conaway connected on 10 of 17 shots from the field.

Class 2A: Alissa Brown, Jesup
The senior scored 20 points, hauled down 12 rebounds and recorded two steals in a victory over East Marshall.

Class 1A: Caitlyn Riese, Colo-Nesco
The senior averaged 24 and a half points and eight rebounds in two victories. Riese scored 27 points and added eight rebounds in a win over East Marshall. She connected on 67 percent from the field in two games.
