Three 1984 Iowa murders linked to man put to death in Missouri

January 10, 2014 By Dar Danielson

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation say a 1984 triple murder with victims in Wappello and Davis Counties has been linked to a man who was put to death in Missouri for another murder.  Twenty-year-old Justin Hook Junior, 41-year-old Sarah Link and 19-year-old Tina Lade were all found beaten to death in a five-day span in the two counties 1984.

The DCI says Andrew Six was a suspect at the time of the murders, but they had no direct evidence to link him to the crimes. Investigators say a review of the evidence in the case found DNA inside the jeans of Tina Lade that was linked to Six.  Six was arrested along with Donald Petary in 1987 for the abduction and murder of Kathy Allen of Ottumwa. Six was put to death in Missouri for that crime in August of 1997.
