Iowa Lottery Board to vote on new building purchase

January 29, 2014 By Dar Danielson

The Iowa Lottery Board will vote on the purchase of a new building at their meeting this morning. The board will vote on a proposal to purchase a building in the Des Moines suburb of Clive for $5.35-million. Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich said in September the organization decided to explore its options for a new building after determining the current building near the governor’s mansion in Des Moines needed a complete overhaul of its heating and cooling equipment.

Lottery officials say if the board approves the purchase, they would close on the building in April.
