Iowa Network Services Girls High School Basketball Players of the Week 1/29/14

Class 5A: Makenzie Meyer, Mason City
The sophomore averaged just over 20 points and shot 64 percent from the floor in two wins. Meyer scored 25 points, added five rebounds and three assists in a victory over Marshalltown. She was six of seven from three point range.

Class 4A: Jinaya Houston, Davenport North
The freshman scored 25 points and hauled down nine rebounds in a win over Davenport Central. Houston also recorded five steals, two assists and blocked three shots.

Class 3A: Brooke Bettis, Albia
The senior averaged a double-double in three games with 15 and a half points and 10 rebounds. Bettis scored 14 points and added 12 boards in a win over Chariton. She was six of eight from the field.

Class 2A: Darby Jones, Okoboji
The senior averaged 17 po9ints and 13 rebounds in three victories. Jones scored 20 points and hauled down 13 rebounds in a win over West Lyon.

Class 1A: London Vais, Adair-Casey
The senior averaged just more than 30 points and 11 rebounds in a pair of wins. Vais scored 34 points and added 12 rebounds in a victory over Glidden-Ralston. She was a perfect 12 of 12 at the free throw line.
