New lottery game takes off quickly

January 30, 2014 By Dar Danielson

Iowa Lottery CEO, Terry Rich, told the Lottery Board Wednesday the launch of the new lotto game “All or Nothing” went very well. “I figured we might sell what a thousand dollars worth, we sold $5,000 before 12:45 just on the first draw … $28,000 on the first day…with no real marketing  at all yet, just the announcement of the game,” Rich says.

The new game replaced the $100,000 cash game.  Tuesday was the first day you could bay a ticket and win by being lucky and unlucky. “It’s 24 numbers, you pick 12 numbers and if you match them all you win $100,000…but if you match none of the numbers you win $100,000 dollars,” Rich explained to the board. The Iowa Lottery plans to begin a promotional campaign for the new game on Monday.
