Fire destroyed this home and killed 5 people in Fayette County on January 24.

The Fayette County Sherriff’s Department has released the names of the three adults and two children who were killed in a house fire last week near Arlington.

One-year-old Isabella Miller, four-year-old Delacisey Seales, and 27-year-old Amanda Lynn Smith-Miller — all of Oelwein — died in the fire along with 84-year-old Gil Raymond Stachar and 30-year-old James Dean McCain, both of Arlington.

Ron Humphrey, with the State Fire Marshal’s Office, told Radio Iowa on Friday the home was so badly damaged that the cause of the fire may never be known.
