Bethany Doolittle scored 16 points as the Iowa Hawkeye women pulled away in the second half in a 69-55 victory over Illinois. The Hawks overcame 19 turnovers and four of 18 shooting from three point range to post their 20th victory of the season.

“It wasn’t the most beautiful game, we had too many turnovers, missed some free throws…which was kind of uncharacteristic,” Iowa coach Lisa Bluder  says. She says the Hawkeyes were more efficient in the second half as they took higher percentage shots or went inside and then back out.

Freshman Ally Disterhoft scored 13 points and added 10 rebounds for the Hawkeyes who improve to 8-4 in the Big Ten.
