Two men get prison time for taking Clear Lake girl to South Dakota for sex

Two men from South Dakota will spend time in prison for committing sex acts with a minor in Iowa. Mensur Malik and Salim Issa, both 23 and both from Sioux Falls, South Dakota pled guilty to traveling across a state line for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct.

Both men admitted to taking a minor girl from Clear Lake, Iowa to Sioux Falls with the intent to have sex with her. Malik was sentenced to over 12 years in federal prison (151 months)  and Issa was given nearly five years in prison (56 months). Both men will have to be on the sex offender registry once they are released.
