Estherville man charged with murder in woman’s death

February 27, 2014 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A woman is dead and a man is in custody following a shooting last night at a trailer park in northern Iowa. A release from the Estherville Police Department indicates the body of 30-year-old Michaela Lynne Jordan was found in a home just before 8 p.m. Wednesday. She had been shot.

Early this morning, officers arrested 35-year-old Scott Anthony Sudbeck and charged him with first-degree murder. He’s being held in the Emmet County Jail. Both Sudbeck and Jordan are from Estherville. Police say they’ve “obtained a substantial amount of evidence” in the case, but they’re not discussing details.
