A suspect is in custody in the death of two sisters — originally from eastern Iowa — who were found murdered in their Pittsburgh area home.  Police in Pittsburgh issued an arrest warrant this morning for the sisters’ next door neighbor, 43- year-old Allen Wade. He contacted police and turn himself in this afternoon.

After learning about the warrant for his arrest, Wade declared his innocence via a post on his Facebook page. Court records show surveillance video and DNA evidence led Pittsburgh police to charge Wade with killing 44-year-old Susan Wolfe and 38-year-old Sarah Wolfe. Their bodies were found on February 7th in the home they shared.

The Wolfe sisters’ parents still live in Clinton. Their sister, Mary Wolfe, also lives in Clinton and is a state representative. Mary Wolfe released the following statement: “I’m extremely appreciative of the hard work and dedication of the Pittsburgh law enforcement community and of the unwavering support my family and I have received and continue to receive from my colleagues and the people of Iowa during this difficult time.”
