Man arrested for trying to trade sex for a boat trailer

March 11, 2014 By Dar Danielson

Marion Police charged a man with prostitution  after he placed an ad on Craigslist offering to trade a sex act for a boat trailer.  An undercover police officer answered the ad via email, and set up a meeting in Marion Monday with 37-year-old Stan Syring of Clarence.

The officer arrested Syring after he agreed to participate in a sex act in exchange for the  boat trailer in the possession of the undercover officer.  Syring was charged with prostitution and was transported to the Linn County Jail.
