KISS and Def Leppard to play Iowa in August

March 17, 2014 By Matt Kelley

A pair of bands that dominate the playlists of many classic rock radio stations will be making a tour stop in Iowa this summer. KISS and Def Leppard will be touring together and appearing at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Wednesday, August 20.

This year marks KISS’ 40th anniversary as a band. The group is being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Kiss hasn’t played in the area since a 1997 stop in Ames. The British group Def Leppard played at Wells Fargo Arena two years ago on their “Rock of Ages” tour.

Tickets for the August 20 show go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.
