Medical examiner waiting on tests for cause of Tipton teen’s death

March 18, 2014 By Matt Kelley

The weekend death of a teenager in eastern Iowa remains a mystery. Police in Tipton were sent to a home Sunday morning to check on the welfare of 15-year-old Keifla Thomas Robinson and found the boy dead inside the home.

An autopsy was performed Monday and the State Medical Examiner says there were no obvious injuries to the body. The exact cause of death is pending more test results. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the case.
