Man dies in farm accident near Coggon

March 19, 2014 By Matt Kelley

A farm accident earlier this week killed a man in northeast Iowa. Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies were sent to a home near Coggon at 2:15 p.m. Monday and found a man unconscious on the ground.

The victim, 75-year-old Donald Reilly, had apparently fallen from the top of a grain trailer at his farm. Reilly was taken to a hospital in Cedar Rapids and then transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he was pronounced dead a short time after arrival.
