Two tickets sold in Iowa came close to being winners in Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot. The Iowa Lottery says tickets bought in Shenandoah and Coggon were each one number away from claiming part of the 400 million dollar jackpot. Those tickets are worth $15,000 each for their owners.

Those two prizes were the high end of the over 50,000 tickets the lottery says won some kind of prize in what was the third largest Mega Millions jackpot. Tickets sold in Florida and Maryland matched all six numbers drawn and their owners will split the big prize.
