Two former Scott County  men will spend time in prison on a child pornography charges. Thirty-nine-year old Shannon Wade Watson, a former resident of Wappello, pled guilty in November to possession of child pornography.

A Davenport police detective working as a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children task force says images of child pornography were identified on Watson’s computer in September of 2011.  Officers found over 300 images of child pornography on the computer and two thumb drives at Watson’s home. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Twenty-nine-year-old Mathew Scott Hiles, formerly of Davenport, also pled guilty to possession of child pornography in November. Officers from the same internet task force used a search warrant and an examination his computer found multiple images and videos of child pornography. Hiles was sentenced to 70 months in prison.
