College baseball coaches are always keeping one eye on the weather and that is what Buena Vista’s Steve Eddie is doing as his team prepares to host Central in a four-game Iowa Conference series beginning Friday. The forecast is calling for a 60 percent chance of snow in Storm Lake on Friday.

“I think you’ve got to be thankful for the games that you’ve gotten in and just take it one day at a time and figure out when we have a window to get the games in,” Eddie says.

Eddie says even if it snows on Friday he feels they will be able to get the series played.  He says they can use Monday as a make up date and they will do everything they can to get the field ready to go.

Buena Vists is 14-4 overall and 3-3 in the Iowa Conference race. Vista says they have seen some good things so far and need to tighten up a few things and become more consistent. Central is also 3-3 in the league race.
