One dead in accident near Oskaloosa

One person was killed in a single vehicle roll-over accident in southeast Iowa’s Mahaska County around midnight on Sunday. According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, a 1997 Ford pickup truck was traveling westbound on 170th street near Oxford Avenue northeast of Oskaloosa when the driver lost control and left the roadway.

The accident report states that the truck rolled and came to rest in the south ditch. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The accident remains under investigation.
