A central Iowa man is in jail after admitting that he burglarized and set fire to the Saint Mary Convent building early this morning. Lt. Ryan Goecke of the Marshalltown Police Department identifies the suspect as 48-year-old Van Allen Gentry of Marshalltown who faces two felony charges and is being held in the Marshall County Jail.

No one at the convent was hurt. Gentry reportedly confessed to setting two fires.
