Man found shot to death in Grimes

May 8, 2014 By Matt Kelley

A fatal shooting is under investigation in a suburb of Des Moines. Polk County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to a home in Grimes just before 3:30 this morning on the report that a person had been shot.

A man was found dead inside the home. The victim’s name has not been released. Investigators say they have not identified any suspects in the case, but do not believe the public is in any danger. A press release states the shooting “appears to be an isolated incident and does not appear to be a random act.”
