Aplington man admits to posessing child pornography

A northeast Iowa man has admitted to possessing child pornography. Court records show 20-year-old Jeremiah Romo of Aplington pled guilty to one count of possession of child pornography. He admitted that in July of last year he possessed one or more images of child porn.

Romo also admitted he was charged with second-degree sexual abuse in 2008. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison and a potential maximum fine of 250-thousand dollars.
