Audubon teen dies in tractor accident

June 12, 2014 By Radio Iowa Contributor

A 16-year-old from Audubon was killed in a farm tractor accident in rural Calhoun County late Wednesday afternoon. The name of the victim is Austin Ray Gosch with the tractor owned by Danny Streeter of Lake City.

The accident happened three miles southeast of Lake City on a gravel road. The Iowa State Patrol reported the tractor drifted to the left side with the left side tires entering the south ditch. The tractor then overturned in the ditch, pinning Gosch under it. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation. Gosch completed his sophomore year at Audubon High School.
