Three-hour stand-off ends in Clinton with no shots fired

June 12, 2014 By Radio Iowa Contributor

Serving an arrest warrant for a probation violation ended up as a three-hour stand-off for Clinton Police last night.

Police went to the home of 34-year-old Nicholas Fox to serve the warrant.

When officers learned he may be armed, they retreated and called for extra help.

Crisis teams with a combination of area department personnel arrived and after talking with Fox, he surrendered to law enforcement about 8 PM.

He was taken into custody and taken to the Clinton County Jail.
