A San Diego man accused of saying he was an actor to lure a 14-year-old Baxter girl into his car last week had pleaded not guilty. Thirty-three-year-old David Lavera faces charges of enticing a minor, carrying weapons, and failure to have a valid driver’s license.

The Baxter teen says she met Levara at Sunrise Terrace Mobile Home Park in Newton, where he was performing acrobatic stunts similar to those in the Twilight movies. He claimed to be an actor in those movies, but he was not. Authorities say he arrived in the Newton area about four weeks ago and was allowed to participate in a middle school assembly.

While Lavera signed in as a guest of Newton schools using his real name, officials found out later he was signing autographs with the name “Kiowa Gordon.” Gordon actually was an actor who appeared in Twilight.
