One person is dead following a car-pedestrian accident on a busy north-central Davenport street. It happened late Monday afternoon. Police say 64-year-old Karol Heston of Davenport was crossing the one-way street when she was struck by a pickup truck.
Heston was taken to a Davenport hospital. She was later transferred to University Hospitals in Iowa City, where she died.
