Hot air balloon goes astray, zaps out power

BalloonTuesday night’s festivities at the National Balloon Classic in Indianola were cut short when a hot air balloon struck a power line.

Electricity was knocked-out across the Balloon Classic grounds shortly before 8 pm.

No one in the balloon and no one on the ground was injured.

The National Balloon Classic continues through Saturday with daily flights of 80 hot air balloons at 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
