UNI volleyball takes on tough competition early

September 4, 2014 By Radio Iowa Contributor

The UNI volleyball team is preparing for its second tournament in as many weeks. The Panthers opened last week with a 2-1 mark by taking on host St. Louis University, Alabama and Southeast Missouri State.

UNI coach Bobbi Peterson they faced a variety of different approaches in the tournament and that gave them a lot of experience. This week the Panthers travel to a tournament at Kentucky and USC and Creighton are also part of the field. “We schedule tough, and we’ve been doing that for a lot of years, and I think out of all the years that I’ve been here this is probably the toughest tournament we’ll be a part of, ” Peterson says.
