The UNI Panthers have fallen below the 500 mark once again after a 31-28 loss to South Dakota State in the UNI-Dome. The Panthers saw their Missouri Valley record fall to 1-2 and coach Mark Farley was asked why his team lack emotion. “Because there was no production on the field. You’ve got to have production to create fire, just because you jump up and down and talk a good game doesn’t mean you are going to play a good game…being productive on the field creates emotion,” Farley says.
Farley says lack of emotion is not a valid excuse. “You’ve got to be a focused football team, you’ve got to be a consistent football team, and that’s what we’re not,” Farley says.
Farley says he was frustrated by how the Panthers lost the game with the three interceptions and an onside kick. “Give them 100 percent credit, I thought they played a nice game, a very consistent game from start to finish. We must not have been consistent in what we were doing,” Farley said.
